Clinical Supervision for Counsellors & Trainees in Hitchin and Online
Warm, reflective supervision grounded in a humanistic and person-centred approach
I offer clinical supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors who are looking for a supportive, reflective and ethically grounded space to explore their client work and professional development.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, relational and rooted in person-centred and humanistic values. I aim to provide a calm, respectful space where supervisees can reflect openly, feel supported in their practice, and continue developing confidence in their work with clients.
A Supportive Space to Reflect and Grow
Supervision is an important part of safe, ethical and effective counselling practice. It offers time to step back, think about the therapeutic relationship, explore client work in depth, and reflect on the emotional impact of being alongside others.
Within supervision, we may explore:
-
client work and therapeutic process
-
ethical questions or areas of uncertainty
-
safeguarding and risk
-
boundaries and contracting
-
the supervisee’s emotional responses
-
professional confidence and development
-
working with adults, children or young people
-
online, telephone or face-to-face practice
My hope is that supervision feels both supportive and useful — a space where you can bring questions, uncertainty and developing confidence without fear of judgement.
My Approach to Supervision
My supervision style is informed by my background as a person-centred counsellor and my belief that professional growth happens best within a relationship built on trust, respect and openness.
I am particularly interested in reflective practice, the therapeutic relationship, ethical decision-making and the ways in which counsellors develop their own professional identity. My approach is also informed by models such as the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision and developmental perspectives on supervisee growth.
Rather than offering supervision as a purely managerial or instructional process, I aim to create a collaborative space where we can think together about the work, the client, the therapeutic relationship and your own experience as the practitioner.
My Experience
Alongside my supervision training, I bring over eight years of clinical counselling experience. I have worked therapeutically with adults, children and young people within private practice and educational settings, including Special Educational Needs schools, colleges, secondary education and primary education.
My counselling practice is grounded in a humanistic and person-centred approach, and I work with a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, identity, self-esteem, life transitions and family-related concerns.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. I also hold full enhanced DBS clearance for working with children and vulnerable people.
Current Supervision Training Status
I am currently completing the final stage of my Clinical Supervision training and have received my Fit to Practice letter.
This means I am able to offer supervision while continuing to build my required supervision hours before final independent sign-off. During this stage, my supervision work is supported by my own supervision and ongoing training requirements.
I believe it is important to be transparent about this, while also offering a professional, ethical and supportive supervision space for supervisees.
Who I Offer Supervision To
I currently offer clinical supervision for:
-
trainee counsellors
-
newly qualified counsellors
-
qualified counsellors seeking reflective supervision

These introductory fees are available while I complete the final stage of my clinical supervision training. Fees may be reviewed once I am fully signed off as an independent clinical supervisor.
What You Can Expect From Supervision With Me
You can expect a supervision relationship that is warm, respectful and collaborative. I aim to offer a space where you feel able to speak honestly about your work, including the parts that feel difficult, uncertain or emotionally demanding.
Supervision may include space for challenge, but always within a relationship that feels supportive, ethical and grounded.
My intention is to help you feel more confident, reflective and resourced in your work with clients.
Initial Conversation
Choosing a supervisor is an important decision. I offer an initial informal conversation so that we can discuss your needs, your client work, your training or professional requirements, and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.
If you are looking for clinical supervision and would like to explore working together, please feel free to get in touch.
