Individual adult Therapy

Individual counselling offers you a safe, non-judgemental environment to explore feelings and experiences that you feel have caused a negative impact on your wellbeing.

Attempting to cope with everyday life while carrying what can sometimes feel like the world on your shoulders can result in feelings of anxiety, depression or stress. These feelings can lead to experiencing feelings of anger towards yourself or others close to you, a fear of being genuine or suffering low self-esteem.

Our aim in working together would be for you to feel empowered to unlock your own inner resources for resolving personal problems. the outcomes you could expect may include a greater ability to positively handle life's challenges, improved emotional well-being, build resilience and create a more fulfilling life.

As a person-centred counsellor I will walk along side you, working at a pace you feel comfortable with. I will accept what you bring as your experience without judgement. I commit to being an active listener and through communicating back to you my understanding of what you share we can fully and accurately explore your experiences together to create positive outcomes.

Child and Adolescent Therapy

Many young people can struggle with how they feel. Pressures of school, family life, or problems with friends, social media, can all result in young people experiencing feelings of vulnerability, anxiety, depression, anger or fear and can all have a negative impact on their mental wellbeing.  They may feel scared, uncomfortable or unable to talk to a family member, friend or teacher about what they are experiencing or how they are feeling for fear of being judged. I  can offer them the opportunity to talk things through openly in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

Counselling could also support a young person who is experiencing bullying, relationship issues, low self-esteem, change of schools, parental separation, self-harm through offering them the chance to explore the problem and symptoms.  I aim to support the development of coping strategies and skills to flourish.

I have worked with and supported young people in Further Education environments, Secondary and Primary Schools. I have also worked in Special Educational settings with students experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues.  I am a counsellor with Full Enhanced DBS clearance.
